Cape Town – From saying goodbye to a legend to making a comeback with new music, music dominated the entertainment headlines on Thursday.

A memorial service for South African jazz legend Ray Phiri was held in Nelspruit today. Phiri died on 12 July at the age of 70 after suffering from lung cancer.

Local hard rockers The Narrow are making a comeback and launched a crowdfunding campaign for their new album.

US band Alien Ant Farm announced that they're heading to South Africa to play four shows.
