WATCH: Brie Larson's new movie is set to be an emotional tearjerker

Cape Town – We might be a bit premature but Brie Larson's new role may just land her another Oscar.

The first trailer for The Glass Castle is out and it will hit you right in the feels.

In the upcoming drama based on the 2005 memoir by Jeannette Walls Brie portrays the author.

The story centres on a young girl who comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who's an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children's imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty.

Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts play her parents Rex and Rose Mary.

A South African release date is yet to be confirmed.
