Seth Rogen to play Pumbaa in The Lion King?

Cape Town – The Disney Lion King remake is adding some more big names to its already impressive cast. (Read more here).

According to Variety Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner have been tapped to voice Timon and Pumbaa.

The Wrap further reports that the actors are in final negotiations to join the film.

Seth will play the role of Pumbaa and Billy, Timon. 

In the original movie the warthog and meerkat take Simba under their wings after he leaves his home.

One of the pair's most memorable songs in the film is the classic Hakuna Matata.

The film is directed by Jon Favreau and is set to be released on 19 July, 2019.
