Cape Town - Beyoncé might have stolen the show when she announced she was pregnant with her twins but she’s not the only celeb who has gotten a little creative when announcing the arrival of a new tot.
From Serena Williams, Kim Kardashian West and even the Clooneys – we count down the most epic celebrity baby announcements.
1. Beyonce's Blue Ivy announcement
After performing her hit single Love on Top at the 2011 MTV VMAs, Queen Bey opened up her sparkly jacket to reveal a cute little baby bump.
She gave it a loving rub, while the camera immediately cut to Jay-Z, who couldn't have looked more ecstatic.
2. Kelly Rowland's 'Daddy & Me' Sneakers
Beyonce's BFF and fellow Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland let the world know she was pregnant with husband Tim Witherspoons’ baby in an ultra-cute Instagram photo. She shared the picture in 2014 of two pairs of sneakers – on big, the other little – captioning the snap: "I'll be stuntin' like my Daddy."
3. Stacy Keibler's bun in the oven
Shortly after secretly marrying her beau Jared Pobre in Mexico in 2014, Stacy Keibler announced that she was expecting with this witty pun.
She shared the picture on Instagram, writing: "Look what we've got cooking! A Bun'dle of love!"
4. Ellen announces the Clooney’s pregnancy
Rumours were circulating at that time that George Clooney and Amal, who wed in Italy in 2014, were expecting a child due to her growing baby bump.
So comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres (and one of George’s close pals) took it upon herself to announce the big news – with a hilarious spoof on Beyoncé’s twins announcement.
5. Kanye announces baby North
Kanye West was so excited to announce that his girlfriend at the time Kim Kardashian was pregnant , he stopped performing slap-bang in the middle of one of his songs. Nobody interrupts Kanye but Kanye, right?
The rapper made the announcement onstage during a concert in Atlantic City in 2012, as Kim watched from the audience.
6. The pregnant Chyna emoji
Speaking of the Kardashians, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna announced that they were expecting their first child together, Dream, by creating a pregnant Chyna emoji.
The parents-to-be shared the news within minutes of each other via Instagram, using an emoji of Blac rubbing her baby bump.
7. Serena’s Snapchat
Only two days after posting a sweet Instagram photo of herself being swept up into the arms of fiancé and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, tennis star Serena Williams took to Snapchat to announce she was 20 weeks pregnant.
She shared an image of herself sporting a tiny baby bump in a yellow swimsuit, which sent her fans into a frenzy.
8. Chrissy Teigan and John Legend
In keeping with the Instagram trend, Chrissy Teigan shared a sweet black and white picture of John rubbing her tummy to announce that they were expecting.
Chrissy had always been very open about her fertility struggles, so it was a great delight that they announced the happy news to the world.
9. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson
This has to be one of the most creative ways we have seen so far. Also using a pun, Jessica Simpson tweeted a picture of herself dressed up as a mummy for Halloween, while cradling her baby bump to announce that she and fiancé Eric Johnson were expecting their first child together in 2011.
The best part was her caption: “It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy!”
