Mother of Angelina Jolie’s adopted daughter says she wants to speak to her child

Cape Town – The biological mother of Angelina Jolie’s adopted daughter, Zahara, has made contact after 12 years, asking to speak to her child, reports Daily Mail.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, Zahara’s biological mother, 31-year-old Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, said that she just wants her daughter to know that she is alive and that she longs to hear her voice.

Angelina adopted Zahara in 2005 and was reportedly told that she is an Aids orphan. However, according to Mentewab, she fell pregnant with Zahara after being brutally attacked and raped. After Zahara’s birth she fell sick which led to her not being able to care for her child.
