Cliff's producer suspended for F-word

Cape Town - Gareth Cliff is letting the Twittersphere know how he feels about the word "Fuck", reports IOL.

The 5FM jock tweeted early on Tuesday morning that exectuive producer, Thabo Modisane, had been suspended for a week because the expletive was audible in a soundbite.

IOL reports that Cliff contextualised the tweet on air, explaining that Modisane had let the F-word be audible in a clip and his suspension was due to one listener complaint.

Cliff's tweets read as follows:

He then attempted to get the swearword trending on the social networking site, without much success.

The BCCSA recently dismissed a case against Cliff where he referred to a female caller as "Dear Bitch".

Don't see what the harm is in the dreaded F-word or any other "swear words". It's only as relevant as we make it. Remove the stigma and they become regular words. If you don't want kids to hear or be exposed to things you don't deem fit, don't have kids. I find the screaming of rugrats to be a lot more disturbing than any word.

Gareth Where do you draw the line. Let one word through & then the next. Then at the end of the day all you would hear is definetely not English or any other language , but just swearing & name calling. Please do unto others that you would others do unto you

I wanted to say its a sign of the moral decay continuing but actually I think it has got more to do with the poor guy's limited vocabulary. He just does not know any other words to express himself. Its fck this and fck that and fck everybody. Ag shame, I feel so sorry for him.

What I find so puzzling is that someone complained about the swearword (once, an accident)but nobody finds the lyrics of some of the songs they play on Radio 5 offensive.I cringe sometimes at the blatant vulgarity , references to drugs, gangsterism and group sex. Have we become desensitised to this already?

Correction! Check his TL again, it was trending. That one person shouldn't listen to 5fm, they should compile cds for themselves and ensure they're sheltered from this horrible place where the "F-word" is thrown around with abandon! Sensitive Fork!

Gareth, the idiot of note. If swaering is cool it would appear in our courts, newspapers, schoolbooks, the like...what don't you understand Mr. Clott [sorry Cliff]

What a "doos"! Fortunately I never listen to the radio unless forced to by circumstance and so I am never subjected to the inane drivel that comes out of his mouth!
